"Silence Of The Body. INTERNATIONAL MIME ART THEATRE WORKSHOPS"

Workshops are guided by outstanding artists of mime and movement theatre.

Stefan Niedzialkowski – outstanding mime artist. Actor, director, choreographer, author of screenplays for mime theatre, teacher. In the years 1964-1975 actor of the Wrocławski Teatr Pantomimy Henryka Tomaszewskiego (Wroclaw Pantomime Theatre of Henryk Tomaszewski), from 1975 initiator, co-founder and actor of the Mime Scene by the Warszawska Opera Kameralna (Warsaw Chamber Opera). In the years 1979-1993 he is an active mime artist in the USA. He opens a mime school in Manhattan and creates his own pantomime ensemble. He is often invited by Marcel Marceau to give lectures in the famous school Ecole Internationale de Mimodrame de Paris Marcel Marceau. In 1994 he becomes artistic director of the Warszawski Teatr Pantomimy (Warsaw Pantomime Theatre) in the Państwowy Teatr Żydowski im. E. R. Kamińskiej (E. R. Kamińska State Jewish Theatre) in Warsaw and sets up the Mimes Studio in the Teatr na Woli im. Tadeusza Łomnickiego (T. Łomnicki Theatre “in the Wola District”) in Warsaw. He is the originator and creator of The International Mime Art Festival. In the years 2000- 2004 he was the artistic director of this Festival. The Mimes Studio of Stefan Niedziałkowski has been in operation at Mazovia Region Centre of Culture and Arts since 2005.

Marek Oleksy – mime artist, teacher of mime technique. His artists debut took place in 1971 at Wroclaw Pantomime Theatre of Henryk Tomaszewski (Wrocławski Teatr Pantomimy Henryka Tomaszewskiego). In over thirty years of his career he took part in all plays of the theatre. For a short time he was in charge of managing the theatre, and in 1989 he held the posision of general director. He taught mime techniques in Tomaszewski's team, led International Mime Worskhops in the Center for Research on Jerzy Grotowski's Artistic Activity in Wroclaw. In 1993 he played the role of Jahrzehntelaufer „Dienstag aus Licht” composition of Karl Stochausen's at the Opera in Leipzig. He is a laureate of many awards. The most important are: Brown Spire (Brazowa Iglica), Silvery medal of meritorious cultural activist, artistic achievements Wroclaw award and silvery order of merit. In the yeares 2003 – 2007 he was a lecturer of mime at Cracovian Theatre Akademy (PWST) in non-local faculty in Wroclaw.

Philippe Minella – actor, mime, dancer, choreographer, director. He studied at Ecole Internationale de Mimodrame de Paris Marcel Marceau and also with mime artists like: Maximilien Decroux, Paweł Rouba and Stefan Niedzialkowski. Additionally Ludwik Flaszen led him into secrets of Teatr Laboratorium (Theatre Laboratory) of Jerzy Grotowski and Caroline Mercade contributed to form his creative personality with reference to modern dance. He has got often involved as an author and director of experimental theatre and in his output he has got a lot of theatrical and movie roles. He realises himself as a pedagogue. In 1995 in Switzerland with Iris Weder he established „éclat. Choreographisches Theater”, where they both create new plays.
